Sean Keenan is a litigation associate at Cruser & Mitchell, LLP, and specializes in civil rights litigation and municipality representation.  Sean’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, with an emphasis on constitutional law and civil rights.  Before joining Cruser & Mitchell, Sean was a staff attorney with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where he gained invaluable federal trial and appellate experience.  While at the Eleventh Circuit, Sean processed over 100 appeals covering a broad spectrum of federal law, including employment discrimination under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and the Rehabilitation Act, civil rights appeals arising under the U.S. Constitution and 42 U.S.C. § 1983, criminal law, federal post-conviction relief, and complex litigation.  Prior to joining the Eleventh Circuit, Sean was a law clerk for the Honorable Pamela Goodwine, Fayette County Circuit Judge, Lexington, Kentucky. 

Sean received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky, where he served as a member of the Journal for Natural Resources and Environmental Law.  Sean graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville with a B.A. in psychology.
