Michael Hoffer is a senior litigation attorney at
Cruser & Mitchell, LLP. Michael specializes in civil rights
litigation and public entity representation. Michael’s
practice in these areas includes zoning disputes, excessive
force/police brutality, cruel and unusual punishment, wrongful
arrest and imprisonment, and other substantive and procedural due
process violations. He also counsels clients on general civil
litigation issues, including products liability and premises
liability. Before coming to Cruser & Mitchell, Michael gained
considerable federal court experience by serving as chambers staff
attorney to Chief Judge J. L. Edmondson of the United States Court of
Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to joining Chief Judge
Edmondson’s chambers, Michael was a staff attorney for the Eleventh
Circuit. During his tenure with the Eleventh Circuit, Michael
handled appeals arising under all aspects under federal law,
including employment discrimination, civil rights, criminal law,
post-conviction remedies, and complex litigation.
Michael received his J.D. from the University
of Georgia School of Law, where he served as Executive Articles
Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Michael graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota
with a B.A. in English Literature. |
