Katy Hurley is a senior associate at Cruser & Mitchell, LLP. She graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University where she majored in English and Political Science. She obtained her law degree from the University of Georgia where she served as an Articles Editor on the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Katy has extensive experience in all aspects of civil tort litigation including premises liability, transportation liability, and general liability. She has successfully obtained summary judgment for her clients in slip and fall and transportation cases. Katy has represented clients in both state and federal courts and at mediation and arbitration. She has represented insurance companies in both bad faith and declaratory judgment actions. In addition, Katy has counseled clients regarding compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Katy is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Alabama. She is also an attorney coach for the Duluth High School Mock Trial Team and serves as the Community Outreach chair at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
