Drew Ashby is a litigation associate at Cruser & Mitchell, LLP. Drew’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, with an emphasis on constitutional law, civil rights, premises liability, and products liability. Before joining Cruser & Mitchell, Drew was an attorney with a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta where he specialized in constitutional law, receiverships, fraud, securities, and governmental representation. At his previous firm, Drew served as counsel to various receivers, a Special Assistant Attorney General, and several District Attorneys throughout Georgia.
Drew has also worked with the American Center for Law and Justice to litigate first amendment and other constitutional issues. While in law school, Drew worked as a law clerk for the Office of the General Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security and the American Center for Law and Justice. While at the American Center for Law and Justice, Drew assisted in drafting briefs filed with the 9th Circuit and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals, the California Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of California. In addition, Drew assisted in drafting a brief for the Supreme Court of the United States where the American Center for Law and Justice achieved an almost unprecedented victory.
Drew received his J.D. from Regent University School of Law, where he served as a member of the Trial Advocacy Board and as Vice President of the Federalist Society. Drew graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Finance and a concentration in Economics.
